Council For Teaching Filipino

Based in San Diego, California, and formed in 2005, the Council for Teaching Filipino Language and Culture is a professional organization that works towards the advancement of the Filipino language and culture programs globally, especially in places where there is a heavy concentration of Filipino nationals.

CTFLC lobbied legislators and the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC) to develop a CSET Exam in Filipino, in order to certify future teachers of Filipino in public schools.
